“You have always had the power"

Said by the lovely Glinda the Good Witch of the North The Wizard of Oz (1939) and quoted often by the ever so present Ms. Oprah Winfrey. This week for some reason I had a difficult time focusing on the power within me. Not only was Oprah ending her show of 25 years, a show that I have grown up watching and learning from my whole life but my prenatal and baby yoga teacher decided that this past Tuesday would be her last class.

I moved to Tampa when I was in my second trimester with Everly and found this amazing prenatal yoga class, I instantly connected with my yoga instructor and all the beautiful pregnant women in my class. After Everly was born we “graduated” to the mommy and me class, a safe forum to practice yoga for ourselves and with our little ones as well as warm and open place to share. This class was so much more than a yoga class it educated me on motherhood and how I wanted to parent my daughter. It fed my soul on a level I wasn’t expecting and it was one of the deciding factors on choosing my new profession. I am ever so grateful for the relationships I have made from this class. I know this chapter is not over as it has merely shifted my course and I am looking forward to experiencing what this moment will create for me next.I

Park-n-Play

Sunday was one of those perfect park days. The weather was amazing filled with sunshine, clouds and wind. We jumped at the chance to enjoy the day and go to the park to play.

After our play time we took a little walk on the boardwalk to explore, and encountered lots of wildlife.

My Certain Days

There are certain days, moments and experiences you just can’t wait to tell people about. I am very blessed to have many of those days… I have one of the best jobs in the world. I am so lucky and grateful to wake up to husband that gives me the opportunity to raise our child the way we want her to be raised, manage our home, as well as participate in activities I am passionate about.

I always thought of my self as a career driven young woman, I was just surprised when I decided to shift careers, mid-career and stay at home and work for my family, I guess you can say I was promoted to CHO ( Chief Home Officer), still work on my official title.

I decided I wanted to document the journey of my new job and see how this adventure unfolds.
